Welcome to Casa Bendicion, we hope you enjoy your stay and return rested and refreshed. Make yourself at home. Please read thru this document and keep with you for reference either on paper or electronically. There are important tips for entry and check out as well as fun food recommendations. Enjoy!

Directions from Phoenix-The best directions we have is thru Google Maps. They provide the most direct and clear directions. Google and download directions to the “SONORAN SEA RESORT” before leaving home. Insurance for your car in Mexico is advisable. Contact your insurance or read below for a recommendation.

Security/Check-in

You will approach the security station, please give them my name Terese Barclay/your name, and unit West 703 or West 704. They should have your name and exact number of guests. Currently, the maximum occupancy is 4. They will take down the details of your car and direct you to the front desk. Parking is free. Before going to your room, you will have to obtain your wristbands for your stay. There is a $10 fee (cash) per party for the wristbands. The wristbands are to be worn at the resort your entire stay, they identify who is and is not supposed to be there. It is for your security. It is important to note that the reservation made matches the number as those who arrive to the front desk. If there are any “hiccups” with the security stand or front desk, please call me immediately. If you have WhatsApp, the call is free to me. Check in is from 4pm-11pm. Check out time is at 11 am.

Keyless Entry

Our door has a touch screen electronic lock. I will have sent you your access code prior to your arrival. It will be activated the day you arrive and de-activated at 11:00 am on the day of your departure. You simply enter the code and wait for the blue check mark to light up on the lower left side before opening. It is very important to not force the door open before the deadbolt is moving. To lock on your way out, simple press the lock icon on the lower right side. In addition to our solid wood door, the condo has an exterior security screen door. The security screen door locks from the inside and can only be unlocked from the inside. Should one guest in the party “accidentally” lock another guest out of the condo, the guest understands there is no guarantee that “middle of the night service” can be provided to rectify the situation. Refunds cannot be given because a guest in the party locks another out. Should a locksmith service be needed to drill out the lock in the security door, there is a minimal $100 service call fee and additional charge for a new lock.

Cleaning/Housekeeping/Linens

The cleaning fee paid when you booked goes to a thorough cleaning/sanitizing prior and after your departure. Bed and bath linens will be provided for each guest. One bath towel, one hand towel and one face cloth will be available per guest. There is an additional fee for additional requested towels prior to your visit. Thankfully, we have a washer and dryer available to you if you want to freshen your linens during your stay. If you desire to clean during your stay, a broom, dustpan and mop are available in the laundry room. For a fee, you may request our wonderful housekeeper to come and clean during a longer stay. Please bring your own beach towels, our condo towels are not for beach or pool use. Beach towels are available for rent at the front desk. Unlike a hotel, there is not a housekeeping staff for individual condos. Toilet paper and a paper towel roll will also be provided. There is a large trash located next to the elevator for your trash.

Special requests

Casa Benedicion 703 and 704 are special places to our family. Please take care of it as you would your own treasured place. Much attention, care and love went into the remodeling of this home, we want you to respectfully enjoy it and abide by the Resort Rules and Regulations. There is absolutely no smoking inside or on the balcony of our condo. Please keep condo’s items left inside.

Water/Kitchen

We do brush our teeth and shower with the unit’s water without any issue. We bring bottled water for drinking and coffee. We have a Keurig coffee-maker in unit 703 which require pods-bring your favorites. Under the sink, there is a Mr. Coffee for your use, or Starbucks downstairs. In unit 704, there is a Mr. Coffee 12 cup coffee maker. Typically, there are coffee filters stored in the cabinet along side of salt, pepper and cooking oil.

Please note, if there is no hot water running, please check the switch in the laundry room, next to the washer machine, it should be in the “up” position. In addition, if the water is turned off altogether, there is a laminated card in the laundry room to show how to turn on the water supply. Occasionally, the housekeeping staff turn it off between guests. The valve is located in the guest bathroom.

Air conditioning

Our air conditioner runs on an eco-friendly system. All doors to the condo must be closed for the air conditioner to run. Kindly turn off the AC if you want to have the windows or sliding glass doors open. There is a green/red light on the wall next to the laundry room indicating if the doors are opened or not. If green, the AC unit will run, if red, the unit will be disabled until all doors are closed. Please turn off the AC to enjoy the cooler breezes of the Sea. If the AC is bumped too low, it has the potential to freeze the lines and cause damage to the unit. We find 76-77 degrees is quite comfortable during the hot summer months.

Something not working?

You can reach me via text or call at 480-274-7495, teresebarclay@yahoo.com I am also available on WhatsApp which is free from Mexico. I cannot help you unless you make me aware, I am here for you.

Internet/TV/Music

You will find the Internet Network ID and Password on the kitchen counter router/modem sticker. We have 3 Smart TVs for you to enjoy Netflix, Amazon Prime… and DirecTV. Bring your user names and passwords. Log out prior to check out.

Pandora, Amazon Music, and IHeart Radio works in Mexico. Create an account in the states before you leave. For extra beach fun, pack a Bluetooth speaker (small one).

Mexican Car Insurance/Passport

We have used AAA and Portugal Insurance. We always buy it online prior to our leaving. You can buy it in Ajo at the Chevron station as well as many little insurance places. It is a necessity. You will need an updated Passport to return to the US.

What to Bring to our condo-

Shopping/Market/Money/Pesos

There is a Sam’s Club (need membership card) 10-15 minutes away and a supermarket called the Super Ley. You can use your credit card at either place. There is a good selection of meats, dairy, beer, tequila, fruits, veggies. We usually pack a cooler of our favorite foods and pick up the rest in town.

Wells Fargo can exchange your dollars for pesos (in the US) if you have an account with them. We typically withdraw our pesos from an ATM machine located inside a bank in Mexico. Money exchange places don’t offer the best rates of exchange but are convenient.

Now the Fun Stuff

We are huge lovers of food in Rocky Point. From street tacos, grilled chicken to fine dining, this place has it all! Truly, there are too many places to list from our “research” but here goes… Google maps works great to most of these places. Tip: Some places take credit cards but many don’t. All will take American dollars or pesos. See my Guide book for more up to date information.
