📍 Directions & Check-In

The best directions are through Google Maps — search and download directions to "Sonoran Sea Resort" before leaving home.

At the security station, give them Terese Barclay's name, your name, and your unit — West 703 or West 704. They'll have your name and exact guest count on file (current max occupancy is 4). They'll note your car details and direct you to the front desk. Parking is free.

Before heading to your room, you'll need wristbands — $15 cash per party. Wear them your entire stay; they identify who belongs at the resort and keep you safe. Your reservation guest count must match who shows up at the front desk.

If there's any hiccup at security or the front desk, call Terese immediately — WhatsApp calls are free from Mexico.

🔑 Keyless Entry

Our door has a touch-screen electronic lock. You'll receive your access code before arrival — it activates the day you arrive and deactivates at 11:00am on departure day.

Enter the code and wait for the blue checkmark on the lower left before opening. Don't force the door before the deadbolt has moved. To lock on your way out, press the lock icon on the lower right.

🧺 Cleaning, Housekeeping & Linens

Your cleaning fee covers a thorough clean before and after your stay. Bed and bath linens are provided — one bath towel, one hand towel, and one face cloth per guest. Need more towels? Request them ahead of time for an additional fee.

A washer and dryer are in the unit, along with a broom, dustpan, and mop in the laundry room. For longer stays, you can request our housekeeper to come clean for a fee.

Toilet paper and paper towels are provided. There's a large trash area next to the elevator.

💙 A Note From Us

Casa Bendicion 703 and 704 are special places to our family. Please take care of them as you would your own treasured place — much love went into the remodel. We ask that you respectfully enjoy the space and abide by the resort's rules. There is absolutely no smoking inside or on the balcony. Please keep the condo's items inside the condo.

🚰 Water & Kitchen

The unit's water is fine for brushing teeth and showering. We bring bottled water for drinking and coffee.

Both units have a Keurig — bring your own favorite pods. Coffee filters, salt, pepper, and cooking oil are usually in the cabinet.

❄️ Air Conditioning

Our AC runs on an eco-friendly system — all doors must be closed for it to run. Turn off the AC if you want windows or sliding doors open. A green/red light next to the laundry room shows door status: green means the AC will run, red means it's disabled until everything's closed.

📶 Internet, TV & Music

The Wi-Fi network name and password are on the router/modem sticker on the kitchen counter. Three Smart TVs include DirecTV — no login needed, and are also ready for Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other streaming if you'd like to log into your own accounts. Please log out of any personal accounts before you check out.

Pandora, Amazon Music, and iHeartRadio all work in Mexico — set up your account before you leave the States. For the beach, a small Bluetooth speaker is a great thing to pack.

🚗 Mexican Car Insurance & Passport

We've used AAA and Portugal Insurance, usually bought online before we leave. You can also get it in Ajo at the Chevron station or one of the small insurance shops along the way. It's a necessity, not optional. You'll need an updated passport to return to the US.

🧳 What to Bring

• Bottled water (available around town and at the resort)
• Beach towels, umbrella, tent — or rent towels at the front desk
• A cooler
• Sand toys, frisbees, bocce
• Spices, creamer, condiments — we only provide salt, pepper, and cooking oil
• Personal items: personal shampoo, lotion, body wash, sunscreen (we provide small soaps, shampoo, conditioner)
• Keurig coffee pods
• Paper plates, cups, and other paper products

🛒 Shopping, Market & Money

There's a Sam's Club (membership card needed) about 10–15 minutes away, and a supermarket called Super Ley — both take credit cards, with a good selection of meats, dairy, beer, tequila, fruits, and veggies. We typically pack a cooler of favorites and pick up the rest in town.

Wells Fargo can exchange dollars for pesos in the US if you bank with them. We usually withdraw pesos from an ATM inside a bank in Mexico — money exchange shops are convenient but don't offer the best rates.

🧳 Checking Out

Check-out is at 11:00am — housekeeping has a 4-hour window to ready the unit for the next guest, and your door code deactivates at 11:00am. Before you go:

1. Take all trash to the receptacle near the elevator
2. Raise the AC to 80°F (or heat to 64°F)
3. Run the dishwasher on the 1-hour cycle (we'll leave a couple of tabs)
4. Log out of Netflix and other streaming accounts
5. Let us know if anything needs attention, replacement, or repair
6. Lock the door from the outside and close the sliding doors on the sea side

📋 Sonoran Sea Resort Rules & Regulations

For everyone's safety and enjoyment, please review and follow these resort rules during your stay:

• The reservation holder must be at least 25 years old and present state-issued ID at check-in.
• The HOA maintains a zero-tolerance policy on threatening or abusive behavior. Violators are subject to immediate removal.
• If anything needs attention, please contact us with any unit issues.
• Please don't move or rearrange furniture, and avoid taking items out of the condo — everything is inventoried, and damaged, broken, missing, or lost items will be charged. Report any damage immediately at check-in.
• Don't move pool furniture from pool areas. Glass containers aren't allowed in pool areas.
• Fireworks, firearms, and drugs are prohibited by Mexican law. Fireworks are prohibited within 1 mile of the properties.
• No music or loud noise that might disturb others after 9:45pm.
• No camping on the grounds or congregating in the parking lot.
• No tents, chairs, towels, or organized games on the grass/green areas.
• Room capacity is 2 bedrooms (4 persons). Extra guests need our prior consent — please don't arrive with more guests than booked.
• No additional persons beyond what's allowed per unit type.
• Sleeping in vehicles isn't allowed.
• BBQ grills aren't allowed inside condos or on patios — grills are provided on the premises. Bring your own briquettes or buy them in town.
• Cleaning service happens after checkout at 11am.
• Please don't leave trash in hallways — use the designated trash areas near the elevators.
• ATVs, RVs, trailers, jet skis, motorcycles, bikes, and sand rails must be parked in the designated area.
• Owners aren't responsible for vehicles or items left in them.
• Only renters and owners may use amenities like the pool and grills. Wear your ID bracelet at all times in common areas.
• No pets allowed for guests (owners are permitted to have pets). Mexico has different service-animal laws — contact us for guidelines.
• Owners aren't responsible for items left in the condo — please lock up.
• The beach area isn't our direct responsibility; we're not responsible for items left there.
• After HOA office hours, refer to the security guard gate for emergencies.
• People under 16 can't use the gym. Children must be supervised around pools and the jacuzzi — there are no lifeguards.
• No hanging clothes or towels on terrace rails.
• Swimsuits only in the pools — no street clothes in pools or jacuzzi.
• Lost or damaged wristbands carry a $20 USD charge.
• This is a non-smoking facility — no smoking in common areas, inside condos, or on balconies. Beach only. Security will address violations, which may result in eviction or additional cleaning fines.
• Please respect the security staff — they're here to keep you safe and help you have a good time.
• Limit jacuzzi use to 20 minutes so others can enjoy it. Pools close at 9:45pm, and the area should be quiet after.
• Facility use isn't allowed once checkout is complete.
• No fireworks on the property or beach area.
• A cleaning truck services the beach early each morning — please don't leave tents, umbrellas, or towels overnight on the beach or in common areas. We're not responsible for items left there or in the parking lot.
• Failure to follow these rules may result in early eviction or additional fines.
